Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve are DJing duo Erol Alkan (a big name in both indie and dance music and now producer for a lot of very excellent albums) and Richard Norris.Whilst the results might not always be dancefloor bangers they can certainly make some very interesting versions of popular indie songs. The remixes of Goldfrapp's 'Happiness'and Midlake's 'Roscoe' are probably my favourites for their particularly dreamy sound which you could as easily relax in bed listening to as you could dancing at the indie discotheque.
They've supplied many of my favoutite B-sides to great singles of late so I recommened you check out the first of what will hopefully be many volumes of reanimations.
'Re-Animations Vol. 1' is out on Monday.
